After College Plans!

Hi All,
Things have changed slightly from a previous blog I posted with my plan for a year away in America. Now my self and my sister with three others have booked our flights for Oct 26th to go on something of a world tour. Our stops will include Hong Kong. There is it on the left. We intend to spend a month in the area. After we will go Australia, then to New Zealand to see my brother and onto Fiji . Theres a little picture on the right. We have two stops to make in America and then its back home. Really looking forward to it, only 6 months to go. Then we will be in those pictures!

Web Standards

Hello everyone,
After learning about W3C it becomes more clear how important the guidelines laid out for setting up a webpage really are. W3C can help web designers ensure their site is well set up, W3C aims for anyone anywhere to be able to access the internet and view a webpage on any device, from any portal. It is not legislation but has been used in Australia as a recognised set of guidelines to use when setting up a page.
It is interesting to see how it will develop on phones as it is difficult to view pages well on the small screen. Click your mouse here to view their homepage and see the standards.

Experience in Dkit

Hello Everyone,
Hope you are keeping well, I am now 21 and feeling great!! Not long left until Im finished with Dkit after four years which have gone in pretty fast. I have been studying Hospitality Management which has been an intersesting looking back over it I have enjoyed the course. My best memories are from my work placement when I lived in Belfast for 8 months. Reflecting they were the best 8 months of my life. I would not of got that chance had I not came to the college. I must say Ive really enjoyed my time here. I love living and working in Dundalk and really dont think I would of had the same experience if i had not moved here to live! It is living here that really gives the true college experience and I have great memories from the college life.

11th April

Hello Everyone,
This year on Friday the 11th April we have some college work due in, the usual, but this Friday I am turning 21!! Yes I am slowly entering the twenties... Im actually not big into birthdays, last year when I turned 20 I was a little sad to be honest. Now its 21, Im feeling under pressure to be happy and excited about it, but when you have no money, dont get excited about birthdays in general, it is just another day, and when you feel like your too old too fast how can you get excited? Maybe Im just reading too much into it, perhaps I should just sit back and relax? Where did the teengae years go? Well, feeling like this at 21, how will I feel at 30/31, Ill probably be 29 for about 3 years in a go! So long as I dont get rumbled no one will know! Well next Friday I certainly wont be clear headed, sober or anything else!
Anyway heres an old one that I quite like try and cheer up!!

Mobile Computing

Hello Everyone,
On the topic of mobile of computing, I have had a phone since I was thirteen. My phone now is completely dfifferent from my first one. I do sometimes use the net but actually I find it difficult to use. The pages dont look good, they are sometimes hard to navigate. It is also expensive. Im a student and I would use it more often if it was not so expensive. That maybe the fact that Ive an old phone. This is the new one I would for my birthday! Maybe it would make mobile computing easier!

I only recently learned this term, rather interesting! Everyone in the Business World would love to be number one on Google and through SEO, that is how they can get there.
I also only recently learned that if your business is number 30 in Googles ratings then have you a better chance of being struck by lightning than of a potential customer going through the pages and clicking on your link!

Year Away!

Hello Everyone,
Hope you enjoyed the virtual community blog! Its now March so only a short time until college is finished, its set me thinking about my plans. With a couple of friends from college we hope to go to America. Now they want to go by end of summer as far as I know, I think it will be closer to Februrary when I go, my brother is living in New Zealand and my family and me plan to spend Christmas there,we dont really get excited about Christmas but this one we will as its been a year since we seen them! He is near Christchurch we all just need to start saving, so busy year ahead, America and New Zealand. Here's a picture maybe you can guess what it is, hopefully I get to see it sometime next year! Anyone out there been to America?
